A Local Buddy is a verified local companion, not a licensed tour guide reading a script, but a real resident who shows you their city the way they live it: the food they actually eat, the markets they shop, the shortcuts they take. Every Buddy is ID-checked and interviewed by our team before their first trip.

Yes. Read the profiles at /buddies, then pick your Buddy on the experience page after you have chosen your date and time. Your request goes straight to them and they confirm it themselves. If you would rather not choose, pick "let our team match me" and we will find the best fit for your interests, language and dates.

After your Buddy has accepted. Nothing is charged while your request is with them, and the booking is only confirmed once you confirm it. If they cannot make it, our team finds you another verified Buddy for the same date and time and emails you who it is, and you decide from there.

Yes. Every profile says who the Buddy is, so you can simply pick her. If you would rather let our team match you, set a gender preference during booking and we honour it. Many solo travelers and families prefer a female Buddy, and we have plenty on the platform.

Each booking covers 1 to 4 travelers. The price starts with one person and adds a small flat fee for each extra traveler, so you always see the full total before you pay. For larger groups, book a custom experience and we will arrange the right Buddy.

Absolutely. Tell us the ages in Additional Requests and we will match a family-friendly Buddy who knows kid-friendly food, pacing and rest stops.

Yes. Free cancellation up to 24 hours before your start time. Nothing is charged when you book, so cancelling in time costs you nothing and there is no refund to wait for.

You pay your Buddy in person at the meeting point, before your trip starts, in whatever way the two of you agree. BuddyEase never charges you and never asks for card details, so the amount shown on your booking is settled between you and the person guiding you. Bring it with you: your Buddy is not expected to start the day unpaid.

The request goes straight to the Buddy you picked. When they accept, your trip is confirmed and the slot is theirs: you get the exact meeting point with a map link and a 24/7 emergency contact. On the day, you meet, settle up with your Buddy directly, and go.
